I know I have been quite inactive the past month, alot of private stuff going on and upcoming exams, but I will try to be more active again from now on. Microsoft Employees Disrupt Wii U Best Buy EventsRemember how Nintendo was showcasing some of their E3 games at participating Best Buy stores around the country? Well, apparently Microsoft employees have been hired to go to these events and preach about the Xbox One and make comments like "why would you buy a outdated Wii U when the Xbox One is right around the corner?"
However, the employees aren't getting what they hoped for. Most customers just start bashing the Xbox One in response. Seriously, Microsoft, the people attending these Best Buy Wii U events are people who are intimately familiar with the crap you pulled at E3. They ain't takin' your shit.
At first I thought this might just be a case of one really loyal Microsoft employee taking matters into his own hands (especially since the original source was /v/), but reports have come in from numerous Best Buy's around the country that indicate many Microsoft employees have ambushed the demo lines trying to persuade people to switch to the Xbox One.

Please Pants Responsibly (Paper Notebooks FTW)

There are two ways to write a novel. Plotting (you make an outline, a plan, a roadmap if you will, and then you sit down and write it) and pantsing (you write "by the seat of your pants, throwing caution to the wind). So when I get asked if I'm a plotter or a pantser, I'm all like er, uh, hold on, let me? Pantser? I think? But I kind of, um, do planny things?
And it gets kind of awkward because in these inarticulate moments I have managed to confuse everyone including myself. And probably spilled a drink.
In recent discussions, however, I've had a bit of a revelation, silly as it is. I've realized that I -- like many writers -- am a plotter/pantser hybrid. And perhaps what I'm doing is something we could call Pantsing Responsibly. And, maybe, just maybe, I could share some of my responsible pantsing tips with other writers. I've come out against used game sales and even written a journal about boycotting GameStop because (like most people at the time) I believed they were the root cause of all the problems the video game industry has. But that's something I don't believe now as intently as i did then. From where I sit, piracy and used games sales are a problem, but not in the way game companies want us to believe that they are.
Used games are a good thing for consumers. We get to try games out, and if we don't like what we see or finish it early, we trade it in and try another title instead. It's a very good system for us since video game rentals are much harder to come by. SPIKE updatesJust thought I'd share with you guys some updates on the progress of finishing my "SPIKE" novel.
A lot of people have asked me how it's going, when it will be published and stuff. I really appreciate getting asked these things because it shows that people are actually interested in my writings, and that it just such a great feeling

I've got two news for you guys today though: one bad news and one good news. Let's start with the bad news.
I haven't finished writing SPIKE yet.
And I honestly don't know when it will be finished - which oddly enough brings us to the good news:
I've made a new, major decision in the SPIKE story that I think a lot of you will be happy to hear. As usual I don't want to spoil too much, but there is a part in the story where Spike and Sam are separated from each other for quite a long while. Currently I'm a little obsessed with nail polish and funky jewellery. Maybe this is what unemployment does to a girl. haha. I'm attracted to pretty things and want to make pretty things. Anyone like making stuff? Bags, jewellery, papergoods....etc

I spent quite a while on www.etsy.com just browsing all the handmade girly stuff...have you been their? It's so hard not to buy stuff from there. I guess it's also the mystery of buying something you haven't really seen and touched that's exciting.

When I get a job I'm gonna treat myself...muahaha

Oh yes I took a few singing lessons before..it was fun! First lesson I felt so good...I felt like I could sing!! haha but then it's a lot of hard work. Just like the rest of my body I gonna train up my vocal chords man. But I've stopped going...once again due to the fact that I don't have a job...yet.

But all is not bad, as I have another interview tomorrow... Also I just finished a few small freelance projects- yay!

So here I go again. Facing the world as an unemployed person really makes you a big loopy hehe.}

I remember all to well what it was like not having a job. It almost forces you to be more creative. Trying to think of little ways to make money. I was so relieved to actually get a job though. I know I'll never make a living off of doing art etc... so I guess what I have going is as good as it goes.

As for pretty things... I love that stuff as well. Anything shimmery. Silver not gold. smell good things. just gurlie things. hehe. I've never been to that site before.

Well keep your head up. I'm sure something will come around. Good luck w/ the new interview. Knock'em dead kid. hehe.
